After years of waiting and hoping, wrestling fans were finally greeted with legend Sting making his debut in WWE this year at the age of 56. Sting suffered a very serious neck injury at WWE Night of Champions in the main event vs. WWE World Champion Seth Rollins.
The match had to be stopped for about a minute as Sting regained his composure while the WWE doctors checked on him. Shortly after the match restarted, they went to the finish with Rollins winning. It also didn’t help Sting’s head hit a TV monitor while falling through a table.
Sting’s injury has been revealed to quite serious and it’s possible his in-ring career could be over. His final match was rumored to take place at Wrestlemania 32 in April and the recovery time could prevent such a match from happening.
