While things seem to change on a daily basis with sports and the Corona Virus, we figured why not take a look at the title odds for the *upcoming NBA playoffs.
A lot to digest as we prep for a playoff run, but grey bearded LeBron James leads the pack with AD. And why not? Tough to go against the only basketball player in history to beat Father Time at a high level (no disrespect Vinsanity).
So, with The NBA season restart set for Orlando the schedule is soon to come and basketball odds will be updated on SBD in no time. Oddsmakers feel they know enough to handicap the title chase, as a whole. While some may see the fan-less neutral site in Orlando as an equalizer, sportsbooks don’t really. The Lakers (roughly +225), Clippers (+300), and Bucks (+325) remain the runaway championship favorites. No other teams are shorter than about +1000
The interesting aspect to this whole puzzle comes down to a growing number of players either testing positive for COVID, or deciding to sit out the playoffs. No Avery Bradley? Hello JR Smith! And what happens if it’s game 6 of the Finals, and LeBron tests positive? Do we postpone? Allow a LeBronless Lakers squad attempt to pull off one more W?
No matter what happens, one thing is for sure. It feels damn good to be talking about actual sports.
