At the end of the first half, Virginia Tech took a 47-24 lead over North Carolina State.
Wait, that was the final score?

Record Breaking Performance
Yes, North Carolina State only scored 24 points the entire game. The Wolfpack broke the record for the least amount of points in a game by a ranked team in the shot-clock era, notching only 10 points in the second half.
North Carolina State was awful. They shot nine of 54 from the field (16.7 percent) and an even worse two for 28 (7.1 percent) from beyond the arc. The worst part? The Wolfpack only had 10 turnovers, actually beating the Hokies in turnover differential by two.
Coming into this game, the Wolfpack stood towards the top of the ACC in offensive statistics. They had only scored below 70 points twice all year! C.J. Bryce was the only player on the entire team to even eclipse more than five points.
This was North Carolina State’s second loss of the week, so they will most likely fall out of the AP Top 25.
DEFENSE! #12 Virginia Tech holds #23 NC State to just 16% shooting (yes, you read that correctly) in their 47-24 victory.
