Le’Veon Bell’s injury is a huge setback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Prior to it, Le’Veon had been playing at a Pro Bowl level while keeping the Steelers afloat during Roethlisberger’s absence. Now thanks to Bengals’ linebacker Vontaze Burfict, the Steelers will have to finish the remainder of the season without their star running back.
While most think the injury was merely an accident, Vince Williams of the Steelers believes it to be attributed to Burfict and his dirty style of play. As you may recall, Burfict drew a $25,000 fine for twisting the ankles of Cam Newton and Greg Olsen while playing against the Panthers last season.
Early Monday morning, Vince Williams threatened Burfict via Twitter claiming that he would, “paint that boi on sight… 100.” (100 for dramatic effect of course)
Shots have been fired and now the world waits in anticipation to see how this issue will be resolved. My money is on a full out brawl during the next Pittsburgh-Cincinnati game.
