This past offseason, the Cleveland Indians made an executive decision to replace slugger Mike Napoli with Edwin Encarnacion. After the post season, it was a no brainer. Although “Party at Napolis” was an insanely fun tradition in 2016, Edwin was clearly a significant upgrade.
So we thought.
The former Blue Jay struggled early and often, going 0 for on multiple grand slam opportunities turned double plays.
Yet the narrative is changing…thanks to this 14th homer of the season now for Encarnacion.
The mediocre Tribe may have flipped a switch against the 1st place Twins last night. Look for that bat magic to continue tonight at Target field.
Tribe wins this one 8-1.
