A Look Back at the Cleveland Indians Tribe Fest

A look at Lauren Dodge’s experience at the 2019 Tribe Fest held in Cleveland, OH

Tribe Fest 2019 was a success!

Tribe Fest is an event held in the Cleveland area since 2012 where the Cleveland Indians organization gets together to celebrate the fans. It’s a time to mingle with your favorite players by getting autographs or taking pictures with them, playing games, asking questions and just having a ball. The event opened its doors for the seventh year in a row and Indians fans of all ages were welcomed to participate in an array of exciting activities. Festivities began with season ticket holders in the morning followed by the rest of the public around 1:30 p.m. The party lasted until 7 p.m.

Getting Up Close And Personal

This year’s Tribe Fest was a place where you could compete with José Ramírez in a game of Mario Kart or be inches away from Jim (Rosei) Rosenhaus as he interviewed alumni and fan favorites like Kenny Lofton and Carlos Baerga.

There was dancing with Slider and The Dogs as music filled the air around lines of patrons waiting to throw fastballs with Trevor Bauer in the pitching cage.

Air hockey, face painting and booths with different prizes were scattered around the hall.

Autograph sessions were sold separately and included big names like Carlos Carrasco, Mike Clevinger, Francisco Lindor, and Tyler Naquin.

If you got lucky you could even snag a selfie with a player as they walked around the event.

All-Star game in Cleveland: How to get involved

While enjoying everything the Indians had to offer there were also options to purchase exclusive All-Star merchandise. Furthermore, you had the opportunity to sign-up to become a volunteer for All-Star Week!

Available jobs range from helping out in the largest interactive theme park, to welcoming Major League Baseball Guests, to prepping for the on-field pregame ceremonies for the Home Run Derby and much more.

With 2019 already upon us, Jul. 7 is right around the corner and what better way to be a part of the action and get ready for some baseball than by donating your time and friendly personality?
