According to Ian Rapoport, the Cleveland Browns have hired former Bucs’ offensive coordinator, Todd Monken for the same position.
Source: Former #Bucs OC Todd Monken is headed to Cleveland. He’s agreed to terms with the #Browns to be their offensive coordinator. Along with the coming hire of Steve Wilks as DC, that’s a high-powered staff.

Monken, 52, is a seasoned coaching veteran who coordinated an offense that was 12th in points per game with 24.8. The Bucs’ also had the top passing offense in the league with 320 yards per game, But, the rush offense only averaged 95.2 yards per game. The Browns are looking to run a balanced scheme with a prolific passing attack, and Monken is the man to do just that. At face value, the rushing numbers are a concern, but Nick Chubb is most definitely NOT Peyton Barber, so that will not be a problem. I expect Freddie Kitchens to remain the primary play-caller, but Monken is a welcome voice for this young team on the rise.
