Everyone had a good idea of what was going to happen last night in the ring. McGregor was going to start out throwing hard punches and trying to get under Floyd’s skin, while Mayweather was going to lay back and wait.
That all happened and Mayweather ended up winning by TKO in the 10th round. For McGregor’s first boxing match ever, that man held his own and turned some heads.
This stat also proves that McGregor did a better job than Manny Pacquiao…who is a trained boxer. McGregor landed 111 punches in 9.5 rounds and Pacquiao landed 81 in 12 rounds. This is crazy considering he’s been training for only a year.
Respect to McGregor for taking a chance but congrats to Floyd on #50!
