The Spurs have been the most diverse team in the league for quite some time now. But with other NBA GMs dipping into the Euro pool, their stronghold on diversity was fading.

Today the Spurs announced the hiring of Becky Hammon as the first woman assistant coach in the NBA. A recently retired WNBA baller, Hammon was an absolute beast in the layup department. She is known as a Top 15 WNBA player on the all time list.
Kudos Spurs…you one upped us all and will remain the most diverse team in the association for quite some time.
