VIDEO: Sean McVay Has His Own ‘Get-Back’ Coach During Games

Rams head coach Sean McVay has a spotter on the sideline whose role is to keep him off the field and out of the officials way

We’ve seen some odd jobs in the realm of sports, whether it be a ball runner that chases tennis balls across the court in between sets, or even the men or women that scrub an NBA court to rid it of sweat when the players on the other side of the court.

But how about a spotter that keeps you on the sideline during a football game? Yes, they exist. And one was hired to keep Rams head coach Sean McVay out of trouble.

The man is Los Angeles’ “Get-Back” coach, and he has one responsibility during the games – to keep McVay off the field and out of the officials way. NFL on FOX shared a montage video of the Rams’ “Get-Back” coach doing his job during last Sunday’s NFC championship game.

The Rams have a spotter for their head coach and we love it

    This was pretty funny to watch. Make sense the HC is always watching the play and does not see the ref!
