We’re within ten days of the NBA Draft and RJ Barrett has declared where he wants to end up.

Following his pre-draft workout with the New York Knicks on Monday, the Duke guard told reporters that he won’t work out or meet with any other team.

Barrett has been the third-ranked player in the draft behind his college teammate Zion Williamson and Ja Morant and since the lottery has been projected to the New York Knicks.

However, it’s unclear if the Knicks will even have this pick come draft night. They’ve been rumored to be shopping the pick whether it’s in a trade down or in a package to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis.

Of course, Barrett would say that the Knicks is where he wants to be because they have the third pick currently and he likely knows he’ll be that pick but to not work out or meet with any other team is pretty alarming and I would hope his management would talk to him about that unless the Knicks have told him that they aren’t moving the pick.

If I was advising him, I’d tell him to meet with other teams, specifically the Pelicans, Hawks and the Cavs who have all been linked to that third pick in trade rumors just in case a deal does indeed go down.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be the third pick in the draft when you can’t be the first or second pick, just keep your destination options open though RJ because you aren’t guaranteed to plant your home in the Big Apple just yet.
