Pat Bowlen, Longtime Broncos Owner, Passes Away After Battle With Alzheimer’s

Under Pat Bowlen’s ownership, the Denver Broncos made it to the Super Bowl seven times, winning three rings. He passed away at the age of 75 after battling Alzheimer’s.

The Denver Broncos made an official announcement on the morning of June 14 regarding the health of longtime owner Pat Bowlen. He’d passed away the night before, in Denver, after battling Alzheimer’s the past few years. Bowlen was 75.

Before passing away, Bowlen had been with the Bronco’s organization for over three decades. During his ownership, the Bronco’s made it to the Super Bowl seven times and won three, the most recent in 2016.

Bowlen was set to join football’s elite later this year as part of the 2019 group enshrined into the Hall of Fame.
