Minnesota Twins Break the Single-Season Home Run Record

Last night, the Twins hit another six home runs against the Detroit Tigers. That put them #1 on the list for the most team home runs in a single season (268). The previous record-holder was the 2018 New York Yankees (267). With another month left in this season, the Twins are looking to set the bar extremely high for team home runs.

The home run record-breaking did not stop there. Jorge Polanco’s long ball last night gives the Twins eight players with 20+ home runs on the season. No other team in MLB history has achieved that.

With the six home runs last night the Twins have hit five or more home runs for the 11th time this season. They broke the record on this awhile ago, the previous record was 8 times in a season, and are now just setting the bar unbelievably high.
