The Seattle Seahawks were eliminated by the Carolina Panthers last week but made it to the Divisional Round for the fourth consecutive year. Running back star Marshawn Lynch has been the most valuable offensive star on the team with his fierce “Beast Mode” running game.
Many believe Seattle would let Lynch walk away this season and find more money elsewhere. Seahawks GM told a local radio station that the team may not have an option in keeping Lynch at all:
“I’m under the impression he is leaning towards retirement.”
As one of the players to take the most hits over the last few seasons, it may be beneficial for Lynch to walk away in his prime. The talk of post-career injury issues is enough to cause players to leave in their prime after accumulating enough money.
