Mark Jackson: Steph Curry’s Game is Hurting the NBA

Former Golden State Warriors head coach and current ESPN commentator Mark Jackson made some very interesting comments about Stephen Curry during the Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game on Christmas evening.

Jackson was fired from the Warriors in 2014 and has made some bitter comments about the team but this will go down as one of the more memorable quotes with claims that Curry’s three-point shooting is harming the game of basketball.

“Steph Curry’s great. Steph Curry’s the MVP. He’s a champion. Understand what I’m saying when I say this. He’s hurting the game. And what I mean by that is that I go into these high school gyms, I watch these kids, and the first thing they do is they run to the 3-point line. You are not Steph Curry. Work on the other aspects of the game. People think that he’s just a knock-down shooter.”

Golden State center Andrew Bogut was apparently asked about the comments after the game and said the following:

“Anything (Mark Jackson) says you take with a grain of salt, and you can quote me on that.”

Maybe role players across high school gyms did the shimmy dance because of Jackson in 90s.
