Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Leonard Fournette is already loving life in the NFL. Most rookies are sweating the transition, but Fournette claims NFL life is “really easy” and the game is “slower” than expected.
Fournette said the following after his first preseason game last night:
“It’s a lot slower than I really thought. That’s how I’ve been since I first got into the NFL. A lot of people were like, ‘It’s going to be fast.’ But by me playing in the SEC that kind of helped me a lot. I think to me it was really easy.”
The numbers of the preseason game saw him deliver 9 carries for 31 yards and a touchdown. Not the best results, but Fournette feeling comfortable already is a great sign for the Jaguars. We’ll see if this hurts him when defensive players read this quote.
