The war of words between LeBron James and Draymond Green continued today. Green used his victory speech time at the Golden State Warriors NBA Championship parade to state James was full of it when saying he’s never been on a “super team.”
James responded on the podcast of Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye by saying he loves being in Green’s head.
“I mean, in 2003, the Lakers combined Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Shaq and Kobe. In ’96, when Jordan was retired, the Rockets joined Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Clyde Drexler — all on the same team.
But I don’t look at it as — I definitely didn’t start the super team, if that’s what he’s trying to say. But I just feel like that it’s great that on the day that you’re celebrating your championship, my likeness and my name is in your head. I love that.”
It only took a few days following the end of the NBA season for the Cavaliers and Warriors to restart their feud for next season.
