Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant is ready for a big year after sitting out the majority of last season with foot injuries. You’d expect the former MVP to be ecstatic about opening night but he’s not too excited.
Durant said the goal is winning the NBA Championship when asked about his excitement level for the first game of the regular season.
“Actually this is the first time I’m like, ‘I don’t care.’ I know what’s important, I know where you win championships at. Obviously every game is important, you want to get better. So I’m not looking at it as our championship, I’m looking at it as another step in a direction we want to go to.”
Hard to disagree. It’s a six month journey before getting to the true games that matter. Hopefully Durant can get to the postseason at 100%.
