Ah, Twitter. Everyone interacting with everyone. And the perfect medium for athletes to call out reporters for any and everything.
Take Chris Palmer, for instance, a freelance writer who used to do that job at ESPN. Well, Chris thought he was being provocative with his snippy opinion on the OKC Thunder extending Nick Collison.
Dude who averages 3 pts & 3 rebs gets 2-year/$8M extension. No wonder they won't make the playoffs.

Palmer’s belittling of Collison and the Thunder’s record this year didn’t sneak past Kevin Durant, who took to Twitter to let Palmer know what he thinks of his tweet.
@ChrisPalmerNBA means a lot coming from a dude who got fired for being a dumbass
— Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) February 3, 2015
Palmer responded to the singeing with his tail between his legs, giving Durant props for having his teammate’s back, but added his facts weren’t correct.
We’re guessing Palmer insists he wasn’t fired from ESPN, and his contract was simply not renewed.
Moral of the story?
Don’t fuck with KD’s teammates.
