We may see another All-Star traded this offseason after Kemba Walker aired his frustrations with the Charlotte Hornets franchise. Many pundits expected the Hornets to make the playoffs, but they have consistently been playing disappointing basketball all season.
Walker recently expressed his feeling towards wanting to play for a winning team.
“At this point, I want to win. I want to be in the playoffs. I’m tired of not being in the playoffs. … I hate watching them on TV.
I’ve always felt like I’m a winning player. Like I deserved it to be in the playoffs – to be battling. That’s what it will be all about in the future.
Whenever we get a new GM, we’ll see what direction he wants to go and I’ll make the best decision for me.”
Considering Walker will be a free agent in 2019, it is quite possible Charlotte tries to trade him to start a complete rebuilding process. Any contender in need of a point guard should start putting together packages.
