Week 7 of the BIG3 took place this past weekend in Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin and with the playoff race tight some teams were playing for their season.

However, we might have got more than we asked for. Along with narrow scorelines, the players displayed multiple highlight plays throughout the weekend. That includes Triplets’ Joe Johnson hitting a step-back 4-pointer to win the game, which arguably might be the greatest game-winner ever witnessed.

Johnson’s team trailed for the majority of the game before hitting the 30-foot shot. He finished with 27 points and 16 rebounds with his team garnering their sixth win of the season.

It was a devastating blow for a 3 Headed Monsters team that needed to pull off the upset over top-seeded Triplets. Instead, they sit at 2-4 needing a lot of help after looking like one of the best teams coming into the season.

This shot comes one day after Bivouac’s Will Bynum dropped a BIG3 record 33 points in route to defeating Killer 3’s in his hometown of Chicago.

Bynum broke last year’s record of 32 points set by Power’s Corey Maggette. So not only did we get the best game-winner ever but also the best single-game performance in the BIG3. What a weekend.
