Jay Wright is a Stone Cold Gangster

You never really know how you’ll react when you win the biggest game of your career on an incredible buzzer beater.  If you’re Jay Wright, you redefine the old adage, “act like you’ve been there before.”

Wright explained he thought the officials would add time back to the clock, meaning he’d have to gather his team to focus for one final play.  It makes sense, considering the exact same thing happened to Villanova in their Elite 8 match up with Pittsburgh in 2009.  After Scottie Reynolds hit the apparent game winner, the Villanova bench cleared in celebration, only for the officials to add .5 seconds back on the clock.

The shot was so close, you could understand Wright’s reluctance to risk the premature celebration.
