Entering the preseason, James Harden is not shying away from the spotlight following his best season in the NBA. Finishing second in the MVP voting and leading the NBA in scoring, Harden is very confident he will take his game to another level. The Houston Rockets superstar said the following about his mentality for the new season:
“You don’t think I can do more? Just wait. I’ll show you. I am the best player in the league. I believe that, I thought I was last year, too.”
Harden also said he deserved the MVP award last season over Stephen Curry:
“There’s so many factors. I led the league in total points scored, minutes played. Like I said, I’m not taking anything away from Steph, but I felt I deserved the Most Valuable Player. That stays with me. I know I was the MVP. That’s 100 percent given all the things that happened last season.”
Harden will have a chance to prove he’s the best player in the league with the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder and other great teams standing in his way in the Western Conference.
