Glenn Rice Jr. had himself one hell of a Sunday evening.
After an argument inside of Scales 925 in Atlanta, a restaurant owned by T.I., spilled outside, Rice Jr. wound up getting shot in the leg.
Rice Jr. proceeded to jump in a Porsche as a passenger and headed to the hospital, where he fell out of the car and was taken by paramedics to a second hospital for treatment.
Police went through the surveillance footage from the restaurant, and tracked down a revolver that Rice Jr. tossed into a stairwell. The gun was stolen.
Police also found a backpack by the Porsche with 240 grams of marijuana and $6,000 inside. These items have led to authorities charging Rice Jr. with reckless conduct and drug possession.
The man driving Rice Jr. was allegedly Steven Pryor, who had a prior gun-related incident with Rice Jr. in 2012. A shot was fired at a club near Georgia Tech’s campus, and when police pulled over Pryor, he admitted he fired a shot from his 9mm, albeit accidentally. He was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm while under the influence. The incident got Rice Jr. kicked out of Georgia Tech.
Rice Jr. was drafted by the 76ers in 2013, and spent some time with the Wizards and in the D-League. He is the son of legendary tiny-handed marksman Glen Rice, notably of the Heat and Hornets.
