Most NBA players love having the invite to work out with LeBron James and others during the offseason. We have seen players like Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden and Carmelo Anthony play with James as they try to stay in game shape during the offseason.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is one player that doesn’t see the appeal in it. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar revealed the following about turning down the invite.
“I feel like with LeBron and KD, KD did that to LeBron. Take a lot of his thoughts and use it against him. And that’s what I don’t want guys doing to me.
I hate it when… (Antetokounmpo said while mock-posing for a picture). I hate that. I don’t want (opponents) to see me to be buddy-buddy with me.”
Antetokounmpo is arguably the leader for MVP this season. The decision clearly worked out for him.
