Giannis Antetokounmpo Takes Home MVP

Emotions ran deep as Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed his feelings for winning MVP.

Last Monday, fans witnessed another historic moment in basketball history. Although the Milwaukee Bucks were unable to secure an NBA Championship, Giannis Antetokounmpo was able to overcome other obstacles and win the NBA’s Most Valuable Player Award. Antetokounmpo outperformed his peers this season and carried his team to the second round of the playoff before getting knocked out by the Toronto Raptors. This season, Antetokunmpo averaged 27.7 Pts per game, 12.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists.

Bucks General Manager, Jon Horst was excited for Antetokounmpo as well. According to, Horst said:

“This well-deserved honor is due to his relentless hard work and dedication in becoming the most impactful player in the NBA. Giannis propelled the Bucks to great heights last season with his leadership, drive, and unselfish play. His grace on and off the court has made him one of the most admired players in the world. On behalf of ownership, the entire Bucks organization and Bucks fans everywhere, we congratulate Giannis for being named MVP.”
