The Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo, has been nothing short of his nickname so far this season. The Milwaukee Bucks sit at 3-1 and second in the Eastern conference. The reason being Antetokounmpo’s ability to score at will.
Antetokounmpo reached a new career high in points with 44 on Saturday evening. This was against the Portland Trailblazers. Last night, he put up 32, the fourth straight game he has put up over 30 points. Antetokounmpo broke Kareem Abdul Jabaar’s record of points through four games, in a Bucks’ uniform.
The fact that he is 22 years old and being mentioned in the same sentence as Kareem is just shocking. However, he’s earned it. There is a legitimate conversation going on in the NBA about whether or not he is the best player in the league.
Say whatever you want, but as of now, Giannis Antetokounmpo is well on his way to being one of the greatest players the league has ever seen.
