These videos are becoming some of my favorite on the internet. Whenever a championship game finishes, you can bet you’ll have some guy out there, who months ago, put money down on some long shot scenario to come in. And when the final second ticks away, a video gets posted of the guy’s winning ticket followed by the guy celebrating like he won the lottery because he essentially did.

The Stanley Cup is not immune to such an occurrence. Meet Scott Berry

Which naturally led to this:

Sometimes the betting Gods are on your side, and for Scott Berry, they were squarely in his corner. I don’t want to say that the St. Louis Blues went from worst to first because of Scott Berry’s bravery of putting his hard earned cash on them to win it all, but I’m not not saying it either. Scott had opportunities to hedge his bet, but the savvy gambling veteran wanted to be a man that held 10 stacks of high society. Great call by Scott.

I said this is like winning the lottery. Obviously, some of the lotteries get up to the hundreds of millions and the feeling of that must be pretty out of this world and indescribable. But winning $100,000 betting on your favorite team to win their first Stanley Cup and they actually pull it off is what we like to call a two-for.

It was also nice to see Scott Berry, like any professional, thanking his teammates.

Humble in victory, the best way to be when winning $100,000 grand on your favorite team.

By the way – Bet Scott will be a part of the parade and will even get to drink booze out of the Stanley Cup. I’d be surprised if that doesn’t happen. Everything is coming up Scott Berry.

By the way, again – Can’t wait to see if someone 15 years ago bet the Raptors to win the 2019 NBA Title. Someone probably did. That’s how this works anymore.s
