Nick Wright was on First Things First on FS1 this past week talking about all the recent trades and free agency moves that happened in the NBA recently. The most notable was his thoughts on the Boston Celtics’ offseason. Let’s have a listen, shall we?
Nick is saying everything we’ve all been thinking, and that is that the Celtics took a giant step backward in terms of team talent. Losing Kyrie and Al Horford and getting Kemba Walker and Enes Kanter is such a downgrade. Well, Enes Kanter being the guy he is fired back at Nick Wright with one of best disses of all-time.
When did Nick Wright grow his hair out?! I didn’t even know he had hair to be honest. In my head Nick Wright has always been bald, and now he’s out here looking like Mr. Steal-Your-Girl. Anyway, I love the fact that Kanter was having none of it and made fun of his hair. I don’t know if Nick got a hair transplant or plugs or anything like that, but if he did then that’s a kill shot as far as I’m concerned. If there’s one thing that make bald men super insecure and upset it’s the fact that they’re bald. This is just Enes being Enes, a real wisenheimer (spelled that correctly on the first try).
The real story here though is the fact that Nick Wright is 100% correct. The Celtics went from being projected to have the second highest projected wins in 2018 to now being projected to be the 11th ranked team in the NBA. I like Kemba Walker though and I think he’ll be fun to watch in a different uniform, but Enes Kanter is a non-factor as far as I’m concerned. A very “middle of the road” kind of guy. Nothing good about him other than that he’s tall and he’s a “good teammate” from what I hear.
