Diaz played 82 games for the Pirates in 2018 and hit 10 home runs. Diaz will be evaluated on a “week-to-week” basis, Tomczyk told the media on Wednesday.
“He will be limited to no activities for a couple of weeks,” Tomczyk said.
There is no further comment regarding Diaz’s start to the season. He may or may not be on the injured list depending on the severity of the case. He is currently spending his time in Bradenton working with the Pirate’s medical staff.
