Another year and another superstar has issues with Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly. Running back DeMarco Murray has been demoted after seeing just 14 total snaps on Sunday in the Eagles big upset over the New England Patriots. Despite being the big free agent signing, Murray has rarely been showcased and apparently complained to Philadelphia owner Jeffrey Lurie about Kelly’s system, per ESPN’s Ed Werder .
Murray has been ineffective but Kelly has not spotlighted him well. Considering Kelly has been unable to work with LeSean McCoy, Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin as part of the team’s longterm future, this is not a good sign. Murray just signed a five-year, $40 million deal in the summer and is the most talented player on the team.
