Going into the 2019-2020 NBA season, some people did not expect the Thunder to be very good, given the departure of Russ to Houston.
Chris Paul silenced the skeptics. He is averaging 17.5 points per game, 5.0 rpg, and 6.7 apg to lead the Thunder, who currently sit sixth in the West, a half-game behind the Utah Jazz.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander emerged as a star, and along with Steven Adams, he makes up the Thunder’s new “Big Three.”
Not to mention, Dennis Schröder is one of the league’s best reserves.
If the Thunder keep up their hot pace, a deep postseason run is in the works.
