The Tribe have called up Carlos Gonzalez from AAA Columbus and have optioned RHP Jefry Rodriguez, who made his debut in the 0-3 loss last night to Kansas City, back down to AAA Columbus. CarGo will be batting third in today’s lineup, which is the series finale against the Royals in Kansas City. The Indians added CarGo back in March towards the end of spring training in what was my favorite addition to the team this season. For those of you that don’t know, Carlos Gonzalez has a bad relationship with baseballs, and by that I mean he beats the living Hell out of them. He has a lifetime batting average of .287 and is a three-time All-Star.

I think I speak for every man, woman, and child in the Cleveland area when I say THANK THE GOOD LORD! You’re telling me that there is a better option for our outfield than Jordan Luplow? SIGN. ME. UP! I’ve been saying this forever that the Indians needed to bring CarGo up and I can’t tell you how frustrating it has been to see him murder baseballs in AAA and NOT get called up. The man batted .343 with a double, home run, and three RBIs. What more does the 33-year-old need to do?! He should have been added the lineup the day we signed him.

Either way, I cannot be more excited about what today will bring. The Masters? CHECK! Game of Thrones? CHECK! CarGo making his Indians debut? CH-CH-CH-CHECK!!!

So sit back today, grab a case of beer (or LaCroix), rally from the hangover from last night’s debauchery, and enjoy one of the best Sundays in a long, long time.

Love, Jiggy
