BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER

Seize the Grey and the jockey after winning the race.
SEIZE THE GREY

People are curious about the relationship between BIGPLAY and Seize the Grey.  It’s simple, he’s part of our family.  Ken Myles is the co-owner of BIGPLAY, and a significant owner of Seize the Grey.  As we followed Grey’s run to the Kentucky Derby this past Spring, we featured Ken on a number of BIGPLAY shows.  Our audience quickly adopted Grey as one of their own.  Winning the Preakness, the second jewel of the triple crown, was the talk of our fans. In fact, there was so much enthusiasm we decided to buy a horse for our BIGPLAY viewers and offer a chance to become part of the action.

Partnering with MyRacehorse, we went shopping for a two-year-old that could be a contender for the big three-year-old races, including the Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont Stakes.  The hope was to follow the same path that Seize the Grey ventured.  We even secured Grey’s legendary trainer D. Wayne Lucas as part of our new horse’s team.  In June we purchased the well-built colt now known as Improbable Luck, perfectly suited for D. Wayne’s training style, and a potential three-year-old contender.

BIGPLAY’s horse page is following Improbable Luck’s journey, but will occasionally report on Grey….and Seize the Grey keeps on winning, having recently secured the prestigious Pennsylvania Derby! He’s now headed to the Breeders’ Cup Classic in early November vying to become the top three-year-old in the world.

Thoroughbred horse racing is so much fun, we’re glad you decided to come along for the BIG ride.
