The Detroit Pistons make a surprising decision and net Sekou Doumbouya with the 15th selection.

With the 15th pick in the NBA Draft, the Detroit Pistons select Sekou Doumbouya from Limoges CSP out of the French National Basketball League.


Doumbouya is a 6-foot-9-inch power forward who has all the capabilities to play small forward in larger Pistons lineups.

This pick doesn’t make much sense for the Pistons, as they now have three players in their starting lineup who spend a lot of time in the paint. It will be very interesting to see how the man from Guinea pairs with Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond.

Fortunately for the Pistons, Doumbouya is only 18 years old and just started playing basketball for six years ago!
