The Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins just pulled off one of the biggest trades in NFL history that will have a ripple effect on both sides.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins have traded LT Leremy Tunsil and WR Kenny Stills to the Houston Texans for a plethora of draft picks, ST Johnson Bademosi, and OL Julien Davenport.
Houston was chastised for their return for trading Jadeveon Clowney to the Seattle Seahawks earlier on Saturday when many thought they would get back some offensive line help. Deshaun Watson has been getting pummeled behind a poor offensive line so the addition of Tunsil will help him immediately.
The addition of Stills will also help them offensively as Will Fuller and Keke Coutee haven’t been able to stay on the field due to injuries.
As for the Miami Dolphins, it’s obviously clearer that they’re in rebuilding mode by trading two of their prominent players. They already had multiple picks in the second, fourth and sixth rounds in the 2020 draft and by adding two future first-round picks and a future second-round pick, Miami is set up to rebuild the roster through the draft and build around the quarterback they’ll most likely take in either 2020 or 2021.
