According to Adam Schefter, the Seattle Seahawks and Russell Wilson have reached a four-year $140 million contracted extension with a $65 million signing bonus.
Wilson, 30, signed a four-year, $87.6 million deal back in 2015. But with one year remaining on that deal, Wilson has now become, what it seems to be, a Seahawk for life.
Wilson is arguably coming off the best season of his seven-year career. He threw for a career-high 36 touchdowns while also tying a career-low with just seven interceptions. And his career-high 110.9 passer rating was ranked third among starting quarterbacks last season, falling just under Drew Brees’ 115.7 and Patrick Mahomes’ 113.8.
The 5x Pro Bowl, Super Bowl-winning quarterback has led the Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances, 13 playoff games, 17 comebacks, and 23 game-winning
Not to mention he hasn’t missed a single game.
The Seahawks are 75-36 since Wilson became their starting quarterback and it looks like they intend to continue their winning ways.
