Brooklyn Nets forward Wilson Chandler has been suspended by the NBA on Thursday for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs according to ESPN.

The 12-year veteran spent last season with the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Clippers before signing with Brooklyn earlier this summer as an unrestricted free agent. In 51 games last season, Chandler averaged six points and 4.2 rebounds per game splitting time as both a power forward and small forward.

With Chandler sidelined for the first quarter of the NBA season, it now opens the door for guys like Rodinos Kurucs and Nicolas Claxton to earn more playing time at the power forward position which likely will be Chandler’s position with Taurean Prince and Joe Harris occupying the small forward role.
