Per the Winsidr, Natisha Hiedeman will be signing with the Atlanta Dream. Hiedeman was the 18th pick of the 2019 draft. Hiedeman was originally drafted by the Minnesota Lynx and was then traded to the Connecticut Sun. The Sun then let Hiedeman go, making her a free-agent and has now signed with the Dream.
Hiedeman spent four seasons at Marquette University. In her senior season, she averaged 18.1 points, 4.5 assists, and 6.2 rebounds. She scored a season-high 34 points against Seton Hall, 10 assists against UNI and 15 rebounds against Northwestern. Hiedeman has shown the ability to do a little bit of everything.
Hiedeman is taking Alex Bentley’s spot on Atlanta’s roster after Bentley left to go play in Europe for Belarus. Hiedeman will look to make her debut for the Dream and her WNBA debut on June 21 against the Sun. The Dream has lost the last two games and sits on a 2-4 record, they look to beat a rolling Sun team who owns an 8-1 record, the best in the league.
