After spending the first 13 years of his NHL career with the San Jose Sharks, Joe Pavelski will wear a new sweater next season. He landed a three-year, $21 million contract from the Dallas Stars
Pavelski was the Sharks’ captain for the last four seasons and has been one of the league’s most consistent scorers during his NHL career. He’s scored at least 60 points in every full season since the 2010-11 campaign and has 761 points in 963 career games. His 38-goal total last season was tied for the second-highest output of his career.
The 34-year-old center will join a lethal top-six in Dallas featuring Tyler Seguin, Alexander Radulov, and Jamie Benn. Last season, that trio combined for 89 goals and 205 points. Adding in Pavelski’s offensive abilities and experience, Dallas looks to be serious contenders in the Western Conference next season.
