Jim Brown will be available in Madden 20.
You read that right. Arguably the greatest running back of all time, Brown, will be a “Twitch Prime” incentive for Madden’s newest edition that releases on Friday.
Once upon a time, Brown sued EA Sports and Madden for the unauthorized usage of his likeness. EA used “No. 32 HB”, Brown’s number and position, and never compensated him for it. Since then, a rift has existed between EA and Brown’s camp.
In 2016, EA paid the former running back $600,000 to dismiss the lawsuit.
Using Brown will be an incentive for those gamers who link their Twitch Prime accounts with their gaming accounts and hitting viewership thresholds to get free content to use Brown in the game’s Ultimate Team mode.
EA and Brown’s camp have officially settled their differences, sources tell BIGPLAY.com and BIGPLAY’s Mike McFadden. For the first time, gamers will be able to use Jim Brown, as himself, in Madden 20.
Let’s hope his stats match his greatness as fans will be able to use the real No. 32 in this year’s Madden for the first time.
