After a mysterious absence from the Columbus Clippers lineup on Saturday, slugger Bobby Bradley is expected to be called up to Cleveland on Sunday.
League sources told BIGPLAY.com on Saturday that the 23-year-old, Bradley, was likely to be called up to the big league roster and possibly even make an appearance on Sunday.
When outfielder Leonys Martin was designated for assignment ahead of Saturday’s game, much speculation surfaced that it was time for the club to call up Bradley.
On Sunday, ahead of the matchup with the Detroit Tigers, Bradley was officially called up to the Indians roster. This season, as a member of the AAA affiliate Clippers, Bradley tallied 24 home runs with a batting average of .292.
The power hitting first basemen will be in Cleveland for Sunday’s 1:10 p.m game.
