Vernon, a six-foot-two defensive end out of Miami, FL was a third-round pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2012. Vernon has spent the last three seasons with the New York Giants, where he had seven sacks and 30 tackles in 2018.
The trade opens up a spot for 2018 second-round pick Austin Corbett to step in at guard for the Browns.
