Per ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, guard Rasheem Dunn is entering the transfer portal. Dunn is in his junior year and he sat out last season due to the NCAA rules after transferring from St. Francis (N.Y.). This time around Dunn is hoping for a waiver to allow him to play immediately this upcoming season.
News of Dunn’s transfer comes after Cleveland State parted ways with head coach Dennis Felton on July 12. Dunn is now the fifth player to enter the transfer portal since June 13, the others are Tyree Appleby, Jaalam Hill, Seth Millner and Rashad Williams.
Dunn’s transfer now brings Cleveland State official roster down to ten players. In Dunn’s two years at St. Francis, he appeared in 60 games and started in 39 of them. Dunn averaged 14.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in his two years there.
Dunn is from Brooklyn, New York. Coming out of high school he was recruited by St. Francis, Iona and Stephen F. Austin. Since Dunn is now transferring, Iona and Stephen F. Austin are two schools that he could possibly be interested in due to familiarity.
