Many would argue the Pittsburgh Steelers chances at a Super Bowl ended when Cincinnati Bengals defensive standout Vontaze Burfict took a shot at the head of superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown. Pittsburgh were without their top play maker and were eliminated in a close game against the Denver Broncos the following week.
Brown is speaking out on Burfict and said the following about the hit:
“(After that hit), I feel like guys don’t want to stop me no more. They want to take me out. They want to kill. They want to steal my dreams. They want to ruin me. They want to end me. We’re not going to let them. We’re going to win more.”
Bengals cornerback Pacman Jones claimed Brown was faking the injury in the game but later apologized when Brown was forced out of the following round with concussion issues. Brown claims Jones texted him an apology but he didn’t accept it.
“(Jones) texted me. No reply. I don’t even know why people give him the platform. Ridiculous.”
Given how his season ended in such heartbreaking fashion, you have to understand what Brown feels but saying guys are trying to kill him is a bit much.
