Barr, 26, has played all five years of his professional career with the Vikings racking up 338 tackles and 13.5 sacks in 71 games. Earlier this week it was reported that he was committed to signing as a free agent with the New York Jets. It now appears according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network that the Jets will use the money saved from Barr’s decision to make one last pitch to free agent running back Le’Veon Bell.
