The momentum for All Elite Wrestling continues to build as the company looks to become a legit competitor to WWE in professional wrestling.
Tickets for “All Out” which will take place in Chicago on August 31st went on sale Friday and within fifteen minutes, “All Out” was officially sold out.
In addition to the sell-out, pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer said that the ticket demand for the event was bigger than any Wrestlemania in history.
“All Out” is the sequel to last year’s “All In” which also took place in Chicago which was at the time an independent wrestling show funded by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks.
Now they’ll return to Chicago with AEW established thanks to Rhodes, the Young Bucks as well as Hangman Page and Kenny Omega and with the financial backing of Tony Khan.
The promotion’s debut show “Double or Nothing” was a major success last month with a projected 100,000 pay-per-view buys, the largest for a non-WWE/WCW wrestling event.
Currently, only two matches are booked for the event.
- Adam “Hangman” Page vs Chris Jericho for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship
- Kenny Omega vs Jon Moxley
